SANAA, May 29 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council member Mohammad Ali al-Houthi on Tuesday met with 66 liberated prisoners of the army and popular committees.
The 66 prisoners were released on Sunday in a tribal exchange deal after Hadi, his government and Saudi-led coalition refused to implement the prisoner exchange contained in Sweden agreement.
During the meeting, al-Houthi informed the liberated prisoners on their new task in the face of the coalition, describing it as a “big task” that no less important than their participation in the battle fronts.
He said addressing the prisoners: “Today you are entrusted to lead a large awareness campaign.”
“You have moved in the right position, in defense of your country and your people,” he added.
Al-Houthi pointed out that the prisoners were part of the challenge that the free men had carried on and this challenge still remains in order to defend the Republic of Yemen, its land and its sovereignty.
