Prominent leader in Southern Movement assassinated in Aden

ADEN, May 8 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen killed on Tuesday killed a prominent leader in Southern Separatist Movement, which is backed by the UAE in Aden, southern Yemen, and local sources told Yemen press Agency.

According to the local sources, Unknown gunmen on a motorcycle shot with a barrage of bullets Abdullah Hussein Al-Qahim in al-Mansoura district, and killed him instantly.

The gunmen fled the scene, according to the sources.

The attack was the latest in a series of assassinations targeting political figures, clerics and security officials in the UAE occupation forces-held Aden.

The Supreme Council of the Revolutionary Movement is one of the southern components of the Transitional Council that was formed in May 2017 with the support of the United Arab Emirates, and the Council is chaired by the former governor of Aden, Eidros al-Zubaidi.
