Saudi compensates for absence of Iranian oil at request of Trump

SANAA, April 30 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Khalid Al-Falih, said there was no reason to worry about oil supplies in the market, especially since there was no shortage.

Al-Falih told the Russian news agency Sputnik that Saudi Arabia would meet all the needs of the countries, which are replacing Iranian barrels with the Saudis’ with adhering to the OPEC agreement.

US President Donald Trump said in an interview with reporters that he talked with Saudi Arabia and other OPEC countries on increasing their supplies of oil and that they agreed.

The exemptions granted to some countries to buy Iranian oil under US sanctions are due to expire on May 2.
