Over $775 mln losses of technical education due to aggression: Minister

SANAA, April 29 (YPA) – Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ghazi Ahmed Ali on Monday said that the estimated total cost of direct and indirect damage to the technical and vocational education institutions and community colleges due to four years of the aggression reached $ 775,802,000 dollars.

“Saudi-led aggression coalition has sought since the first day of its aggressive war to target and destroy educational institutions and technical and vocational institutes, because of the importance of this vital sector, the Minister said during a press conference held on the sidelines of the third exhibition of inventions and creations in Sanaa.

A total of 68 training institutions were rigorously damaged as a result of direct and indirect targeting by the coalition warplanes, including 18 institutions were damaged indirectly, the Minister elaborated.

The Minister referred to the impact of that on the economic and psychological life of a large number of students, and many of them abstained from their study because of the security situation and difficult economic conditions.
