Qatar accuses Haftar of obstructing Libyan dialogue
SANAA, April 16 (YPA) – Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Aal-Thani accused the Libyan National Army Commander Marshal Khalifa Belqasim Haftar of obstructing international efforts to achieve Libyan national dialogue.
“The actions of the military militias led by Haftar in Libya are primarily impeding international efforts to achieve national Libyan dialogue,” Qatari minister Aal Thani said on Twitter.
He added: “The hands must be aware of the seriousness of this military escalation and put the interest of the Libyan people above all.”
Haftar, backed by a Saudi-led force, is attacking the Libyan capital, Tripoli, which is controlled by the country-backed Al-Serraj government and a UN recognition.
