Army attacks coalition-backed militants in combat fronts

SANAA, April 2 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Monday carried out attacks against sites of coalition-backed militants in several provinces in battle front lines, inflicting heavy losses in the gunmen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

In Taiz, dozens of the militants were killed and others wounded by the army’s attack in Hamir front.

In Lahj, the army waged an attack on the gunmen in Karash area, killing and injuring dozens of the militants.

In Nehm front in Sanaa province, the army launched a military operation against the militants in sites of Arbatash, al-Sawada hilltops, killing and injuring dozens.

In south of the West Coast, the army launched a qualitative attack on positions of the militants, leaving heavy casualties and military equipment.

The official added that the truck and motorbike of the militants were detonated in an ambush was planted by the army fighters Thi Na’a m district of Bayda province.
