Dozens of demonstrators opposing to Hadi wounded in Sayoun

SAYOUN, April 13 (YPA) – Dozens of demonstrators were injured on Saturday in Sayoun city of Hadrmaout province, eastern Yemen, when Saudi military units and the so-called “first military region forces” fired at them during a protest against the presence of leaders loyal to the exiled Hadi.

This came in conjunction with holding a meeting of several officials in the so-called “Hadi’s government” with the aim of making a parliament, which is considered an expired and illegitimate.

“Dozens of citizens were wounded by the shooting, while two others were arrested and their IDs were confiscated,” a source told “Hadramout 21” news website.

According to source in the province, the city of Sayoun witnessed tight security since the morning and citizens were not allowed to enter the city, while the military forces fired from heavy weapons in the atmosphere to intimidate the masses wishing to participate in the demonstration.
