PM confirms Gov’t’s support for SCER to complete complementary elections

SANAA, April 10 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Wednesday confirmed the government’s support for the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) to accomplish the supplemental elections to fill vacant parliamentary seats.

During his visit to the SCER’s headquarters, Dr. bin Habtoor appreciated the efforts made by the commission’s leadership and cadres to prepare for these elections despite the difficulties facing the commission in the exceptional situation the country is going through.

The prime minister said that the government is keen to preserve the commission’s institutional and technical capabilities to ensure the continuation of its important role in managing the democratic procedures of the post-aggression period.
