Land Transport Authority to establish new land ports in Sanaa: Official

SANAA, April 9 (YPA) – Chairman of the Land Transport Authority Walid al-Wadei on Tuesday said that the authority is working to complete studies to establish the land port of al-Towal and the first phase of dry ports in the capital Sanaa.

In an interview with Yemen Press Agency, al-Wadei said that the authority tends to complete its legal structure to eliminate the interferences and randomness between the Authority and other bodies.

Al-Wadei pointed out that the losses and damage of the land transport due to Saudi-led coalition aggression exceeded $ 91 million dollars, in addition to targeting of 3324 transport trucks, oil trucks and multiple transport vehicles.

With regard to the losses and material damage in the infrastructure of the land transport sector, al-Wadei said that the aggression coalition’s attacks targeted 1577 roads and bridges at a cost estimated at more than $ 3 billion.
