HODEIDAH, April 8 (YPA) – Saudi-led coalition forces on Monday stepped up their bombardment using various heavy and medium weapons on residential areas of Hodeidah province, in a continual violation of Sweden agreement.
A security official told Yemen Press Agency that the coalition forces fired 13 mortars and seven Katyusha rockets on Mahal al-Sheikh village in Kilo 16 area, causing damage to citizens’ property.
Meanwhile, the coalition forces waged artillery shelling on civilians in al-Rabasa area, Souk al-Halaqa and airport in the city of Hodeidah, and fired from medium and heavy machine-guns towards the residential areas in the besieged city of al-Durihemi, in conjunction with intensive flying of warplanes and spy aircrafts in the sky of the city.
The coalition forces also bombed the Engineering College neighborhood, the 50th Street, Al-Shab City, Al-Audi Company and other areas with medium weapons, the official added.
