215 coalition troops killed, injured in Asir during 48 hours: Yemeni Army

SANAA, March 30 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Saturday said that a total 215 soldiers in ranks Saudi-led coalition, including three leaders, were killed and wounded during various military operations near Alib crossing in Asir region during the past 48 hours.

A military source said the Yemeni army forces backed by the popular committees waged an offensive on Saudi military sites near Alib crossing in Asir front, which ended with seizing those sites.

Many of the coalition troops were killed and wounded during the operation, the source added.

According the source, the Yemeni army fired a Zilzal-1 missile and artillery shells on a group of the coalition forces at the crossing, causing many casualties, in addition others dead and wounded in a artillery shelling on their gathering in Rabua’a area.

On Friday, the coalition forces suffered heavy losses in casualties and military equipment during military operations carried out by the Yemeni army in Rabua’a and near Alib crossing, in conjunction with the missile attack on their gathering at the crossing, which doubled their losses.
