Parliament condemns Trump’s remarks on occupied Golan Heights

SANAA, March 23 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament on Saturday condemned the US President Donlad Trump’s remarks, in which he said that the time has come to recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the occupied Golan Heights.

The parliament considered those remarks irresponsible and showing the blind American bias to Israel.

It stressed that” the Arab nation and in its forefront Syrian people are more determined now to liberate this precious part of Syrian territory”, indicating that these American calls are a flagrant violation of international law.

On the other hand, the parliament voiced warm condolences to the Iraqi parliament and people over victims of the ferry sinking accident, which claimed lives of dozens of children, women and men.

The parliament expressed thanks to the government and people of New Zealand for their positive attitude, which was manifested by condemning the criminal terrorist incident committed by one of the extremists against a number of worshipers in two mosques in New Zealand.

In its meeting, the parliament discussed a number of issues concerning the local affairs, the most important of which is the need to combat the spread of the cholera epidemic, which has claimed a number of deaths, as well as the imbalances accompanied the mechanism of purchase, distribution and sale of gas and the sudden rise in the prices of oil derivatives.
