Bahraini authorities decide to imprison 2 children for 15 days

SANAA, Feb. 25 (YPA) – The Bahraini authorities decided on Sunday to imprison two children for 15 days on charges of demonstrating.

According to Bahraini news websites, the Bahraini Public Prosecution ordered the arrest of two children, Issa al-Qattan and Hassan Jafar al-Asfour, for 15 days and were charged with “gathering and rioting.”

Gunmen dressed in civilian clothes, accompanied by security forces, arrested the two children at dawn on Saturday from the areas of Abu Musa and Shakhoura.

A committee of detainees called on the Bahraini authorities to immediately release the detained children and said in a statement that the regime in Bahrain continues to be “arrogant” in the belief that it will break the steadfastness and will of the Bahraini people.

The Committee stressed that the Bahraini regime will not suffer from the people as long as the blood is in its veins, stressing that neither targeting children nor women dissuades them as fixed as they were and will remain until the restoration of dignity and dignity and even achieve their demands for justice and democracy.
