Venezuela’s opposition leader welcomes US sanctions on his country

SANAA, Feb. 16 (YPA) –  Venezuela’s opposition leader Juan Guido has welcomed the new US sanctions imposed on his country, including a number of Maduro government officials.

According to Spoatnik, Guido said on Twitter on Saturday, the US Treasury Department has listed five officials linked to the system of seizure of the sanctions list, including the director of the special forces of the police.

He also called for “justice to be done, pointing out that the killing of innocent Venezuelans will not be in vain.”

America is waging a frenzied campaign aimed at changing the legitimate regime of President Nicolas Maduro and a greed for Venezuelan wealth, where new sanctions on five Venezuelan government officials were imposed on Friday in the oil and intelligence sector.

Guido is led by support from the United States and European opposition countries in Venezuela to overthrow Maduro, who succeeded in the last election to lead the country 6 new years.
