Deputy FM discusses cooperation areas with IOM

SANAA, Nov. 25 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi on Sunday discussed with Resident Representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Sanaa the areas of cooperation between Yemen and the organization.

In the meeting, al-Ezzi pointed to the problem of the influx of illegal immigrants to Yemen, which represents big burden on the society and the state.

Al-Ezzi stressed the need to carry out advance awareness programs in the exporting countries to clarify the risks associated with flights of illegal immigration and the difficult conditions that Yemen suffers as a result of the war and all-out blockade.

He also touched on the problem of Yemeni expatriates who were deported by the Saudi authorities, calling on the organization to provide support and assistance to them so that they can settle again in Yemen.
