Update: Indonesia finds wreckage of plane

SANAA, Oct. 29 (YPA) – Indonesian authorities announced on Monday that the wreckage of the plane was found and the rescue operation started.

A Boeing 737 aircraft passenger plane, belongs to Lion Air, crashed into the sea during a flight from the capital Jakarta to the city of Bancal Penang on the island of Sumatra.

Head of the Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency said that rescuers found the wreckage the aircraft that crashed after taking off from Jakarta International Airport.

Officials in Indonesia said the plane was carrying 188 people on board believed to have sunk after falling into the sea off the coast of West Java  shortly after taking off from Jakarta.
