5.6 magnitude earthquake hits Romania

SANAA, Oct. 28 (YPA) – A powerful earthquake with a  magnitude of  5.6 on the Richter scale occurred  in Romania, the US Geological Survey said on Sunday

According to the survey, the quake was recorded on Sunday at 12:38 local time (03:38 GMT).

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 12 km in the south-east of the commune of Komdao in the province of Kovassen and at a depth of 148 km.

There was no tsunami warning or damage or casualties were reported from the quake.
