Sayon Airport about to stop, Hadi’s Government blamed

HADRAMOUT, Feb. 27 (YPA) – Director General of Sayon International Airport, Ali Saeed Bakathir appealed on Tuesday Saudi-backed government of exiled resigned President Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi to intervene to solve the problem of fuel shortage in the airport.

The airport may become out of service within two days, as the remaining quantity of fuel for supplying planes is 24 thousand liters, which is enough for two days only, according to Bakathir.

This may affect many of passengers, especially that 95% of them are patients with incurable illnesses that requires treatment abroad, he said.

He warned that the service will be announced stopped at the airport unless there is a quick intervention to provide the required quantities of aviation fuel.
