UAE enforces its national anthem in Yemen’s Socotra schools
SOCOTRA, Feb. 22 (YPA) – United Arab Emirates (UAE) occupation forces have enforced the UAE national anthem to be played and chanted in the schools of the Yemeni famous Island of Socotra, officials told Yemen Press Agency on Thursday.
The officials said that the UAE forces imposed on the students of Al-Zahraa secondary school in Haidibu district to recite the UAE national anthem instead of the Yemeni national anthem.
The occupation forces punish any student who refuses to sing, according to the officials.
The action is part of systematic occupation plans to change the identity of the Yemeni Socotra Island, said the officials.
