Yemeni army attacks coalition-backed militants in western coast

WESTERN COAST, Sept. 29 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and popular committees on Saturday, launched a large-scale attack on the positions of coalition-backed militants in Yemen’s Red Sea Port City of Hodeidah, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

Dozens of militants were killed and injured when the army forces targeted their positions in Hays district in the western coast, the official said.

The offensive was concentrated on three directions, and the US-backed Saudi-led coalition warplanes failed to stop the army forces from making a further advance, the official added.
