Saudi Arabia does not want strong state in Yemen: Asnaruallah’s Spokesman

SANAA, Aug. 27 (YPA) – Spokesman for Ansaruallah movement, Mohammed Abdulsalam, on Monday said that Saudi Arabia does not want a strong state in Yemen, but a subordinate entity to it.

The upcoming consultations must include apolitical solution, which represents in the presidency, the government and the security arrangements as principles,” said Abdulsalam in a an interview with U-News Agency.

The political solution must ensure humanitarian and economic arrangements to address the aftermaths of war such as reconstruction and compensation, he added.

He pointed out that the problem in Yemen is not arms, because the Saudi-led coalition brings in weapons to Yemen in substantial amounts.

Abduslama continued :“However, there are weapons with Daesh, al-Qaeda, and other groups. We do not accept that the issue of weapons be limited to us only.”

He stressed that there must be a political umbrella under the state authority, and all heavy weapons must got to the state camps.

The spokesman attacked the exiled Hadi and his government in Aden, pointing out that “those who have been killing the Yemeni people for four years and bring the mercenaries and foreigners to occupy the country do not represent the state.”

He criticized the position of the United Nations towards the Yemeni issue, saying “ The United Nations is playing in a narrow margin and will not come out from the US and British positions and from the Saudi and Emirati money.”
