Yemen welcomes UN call for immediate probe into Dhahyan crime

SANAA, Aug. 12 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi on Sunday welcomed the call of the UN Secretary-General for an immediate and independent investigation into the crime of targeting a schoolchildren bus in Dhahyan market in Saada province.

During his meeting in Sanaa with the UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, Lise Grande, al-Ezzi confirmed Yemen’s readiness to present all facilities to the international commission of inquiry.

The meeting discussed the escalation of the Saudi-led coalition and its crimes against the Yemeni people during the past period.

In the meeting, al-Ezzi called on Grande to convey the fact of what is happening on the ground from crimes against Yemenis to the international organizations and the world to be witnesses to the coalition atrocities.

For her part, Grande voiced condolences to the families of Dhahyan crime victims, expressing her shock at the horrific scenes she saw in this crime and other crimes against civilians.
