Shura Council welcomes Malaysia’s withdrawal from Saudi-led coalition

SANAA, July 1 (YPA) – The Shura Council on Sunday welcomed the Malaysian government’s decision to withdraw from the Saudi-led aggression coalition on Yemen and pull out its forces from Saudi Arabia.

“This decision reflects the new Malaysian political leadership’s keenness to strengthen the cooperation relations with the Islamic world away from dictates of the US-Zionist global hegemony forces,” the council said in a statement.

The statement confirmed that this decision enhances the strength and depth of the historical relations between the Yemeni and Malaysian peoples.

The council appreciated the honorable position of the Malaysian government, voicing its hope that it would work on stopping the aggression on Yemen, which entered its fourth year in a row.

The statement also noted that the aggression and siege have caused the deterioration of living and health conditions, in the largest humanitarian disaster in the world.

The council called on the other countries and governments involved in the aggression to withdraw from the aggression coalition, stop the unjust war and lift the siege on the Yemeni people.
