HADRAMOUT, June 12 (YPA) – The director of security of Shibam Hadramout district, Fahd bin Ali Jaber, was killed following an assassination on Monday evening in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, a security official told Yemen Press Agency on Tuesday.
The official confirmed that Jaber was killed by unknown gunmen, who were riding a motorcycle at the Khoshamr junction in the Quten area, and then they fled.
The unknown armed elements have carried out more than two assassinations in Sioun city against a soldier, and two members of Batis tribe since Saturday, which expanded the operations of al-Qaeda in a number of districts of Hadramout province amid local claims to impose the forces of the so-called urban elite control over all districts.
