SANAA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – A number of people were killed and others injured by a man who used a bow and arrows in attacks in the town of Kongsberg on Wednesday, Norwegian police said.
“The suspect has been arrested,” according to Reuters.
“The police received several reports from people in the Kongsberg centre that a person was moving with a weapon that appeared to be a bow and arrow,” the Norwegian broadcasting service said, adding that “a number of people were killed and injured after the person fired arrows at them”.
The police chief said: “The man was arrested… According to the information we have now, this person has done these acts alone.”
Police said the attacks were carried out “on a large area” of the southeastern city of 28,000 people.
