SANAA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that terrorists from Iraq and Syria are moving to Afghanistan and may try to destabilize the situation neighboring countries,
He stressed the situation at the border needs to be constantly monitored.
“With the active recruitment of militias with combat experience in Iraq and Syria, terrorists may try to destabilize neighboring states as well, including CIS countries,” Putin said during a meeting with the heads of the special services of the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
“In this regard, it is important to always control the situation on the Afghan border and be ready to counter the militants, and for that it is necessary to coordinate the work of security forces and, if necessary, carry out joint operations,” the Russian president added.
