MSF’s hospital receives 19 dead, wounded due to STC factions’ clashes in Aden

ADEN, Jun. 24 (YPA) – The field hospital of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) organization in Aden city, southern Yemen, received Wednesday 19 dead and wounded, as a result of clashes among factions of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).

The organization confirmed, in a tweet on Twitter Thursday, that the medical teams at the MSF-funded surgical hospital received two dead and 17 wounded, as a result of the clashes that erupted between STC armed factions in Sheikh Othman area, in Aden.

Deputy head of the MSF mission in Aden, Jado Mahamadou, said that the surgical hospital in Aden continues to receive wounded patients on a weekly basis from Aden and the rest of the southern province.

On Wednesday, the city of Aden witnessed violent confrontations between the STC factions, which resulted in the killing of nine gunmen, including citizens, and the injury of more than 22 others, and caused severe damage to the homes and properties of citizens.
