Saudi Arabia records highest rate of Corona cases

RIYADH, April 08 (YPA) – The daily death toll from the new Coronavirus in Saudi Arabia for the first time since last summer exceeded the threshold of 900, amid increasing fears of a re-high rate of the outbreak of the epidemic in the Kingdom.

The Saudi Ministry of Health confirmed that 902 new cases of coronavirus were recorded during the past 24 hours (compared to 783 IN the previous day), which represents the largest toll since August 30, when 951 cases were detected.

The largest number of these new infections (402 cases) were recorded in Riyadh region, followed by Makkah Region (163 cases) and the Eastern Region (155 cases).

On Wednesday, the Saudi health authorities recorded nine new deaths due to the “Covid-19” disease, while 469 patients had recovered.

The total number of infections recorded in the Kingdom since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 395,854 confirmed cases, including 6,728 deaths, 381658 recoveries, and 7,468 active cases, including 874 critically ill patients.
