Army takes over strategic desert areas in Jawf

JAWF, March 24 (YPA) – The Yemeni army took on Wednesday control over several desert areas linking the province of Jawf and the Saudi borders, according to sources.

The sources affirmed that the army launched a surprise attack targeting military sites established by coalition recruits on the outskirts of al-Khanjar area of Khab Washaf district.

During fierce battles, the army also managed to take control of “al-Raqib al-Abiadh site after the coalition forces were inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipment.

Earlier in the day, the army could confront large military reinforcements from the so-called northern axis of the coalition forces within the Saudi borders, while were coming to support the coalition forces collapsing in Al-Khanjar desert.
