Oil ministry workers’ union declares strike in Aden

ADEN, Jan. 31 (YPA) – The oil exploration and production workers’ union announced on Sunday a partial strike in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

In a meeting that included a number of members of the union, they approved the general and open strike, and the closure of all the authority’s gates and outlets, in the event that the Saudi-backed Hadi government did not respond to their demands.

The authority’s workers demanded the government to pay salaries equality with the rest of the oil ministry units.
