Five offensive operations target US forces in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Jan. 23 (YPA) – A convoy of logistical support for the US forces was attacked in one of five operations in Nasiriyah province of Iraq Iraq on Friday, an Iraqi security source said.

The targeted American convoy was containing 18 containers, of which five were completely destroyed, the source added.

The source did not clarify the nature of the new targeting of the logistical support convoys of the US forces present in Iraq, which were active after the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani and deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Authority Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis at the beginning of last year by American drones.

Later in the day, Iraqi sources reported that a logistical support convoy of the American occupation forces was targeted in Babel province, in a second operation within hours.

Iraqi sources said that the Iraqi resistance carried out a third operation today, targeting a logistical support convoy for the American occupation in Diwaniyah province.”

The sources added that the “Ashab Al-Kahf” faction adopted two of three operations carried out today, and confirmed that advisers of Spanish nationality were injured in the recent targeting.

A fourth operation was carried out today, targeting a logistical support convoy of technical equipment belonging to the American forces in the Al-Musayyib area of Babel province.

In the same context, Iraqi sources reported that a fifth operation targeted a convoy of logistical support for the US occupation forces in Abu Ghraib area of Baghdad province.
