Turkish intelligence arrests alleged UAE spy

SANAA, Oct. 18 (YPA) – Turkish intelligence officials have arrested another man on charge of spying for the  UAE, a senior security official said on Friday

The official, who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity, did not give the identity of the detainee.

He said the suspect confessed of spying for the UAE.

The official added that the suspect came to Turkey with a non-Emirati passport, but Turkish authorities obtained from him “a series of hidden documents” showing his links to the UAE.

There has not yet been a comment from the UAE authorities.

Last year, Turkey arrested two men who were also suspected of spying on Arabs, including exiled political figures and students, for the UAE.
