Recruit of “security belt force” shot dead in Lahj

LAHJ, Oct. 16 (YPA) – A recruit of the so-called “security belt force” of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) was shot dead by gunmen on Thursday in Lahj province, southern Yemen.

Gunmen shot at and killed the soldier in the Security Belt Forces, Ali Abdulhakim Al-Aghbari, sources said.

The sources explained that the incident occurred after a force from the security belt seized a building under the justification of a security campaign to remove random construction in ‘Al-Wahad” area in Lahj.

The areas under the control of the STC in Lahj are witnessing unprecedented security chaos, land robberies and looting of public and private property.
