Deputy PM praises private sector’s role in enhancing steadfastness

SANAA, Oct. 7 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for National Vision Affairs, Mahmoud Al-Junaid, on Wednesday praised the private sector’s role in strengthening the steadfastness of the Yemeni people and facing aggression and blockade.

At the opening of a workshop on the private sector’s role in analyzing the current situation to prepare the second phase plan 2021-2025 of the vision, Al-Junaid confirmed that the private sector is a de facto and essential partner of the state in strengthening the economy and providing the local market needs of various commodities and goods.

The Deputy Prime Minister touched on the current challenges that Yemen faces due to the aggression, blockade and accumulation of mistakes in the past stage, which cast their shadows on the private sector’s productive activities.

He indicated to the importance of the current situation analysis in order to identify the most important challenges and problems, as well as the ingredients and opportunities to bring about development by focusing on the role of the private sector.

“We count a lot on the private sector to contribute to developing laws, strengthening community partnership, and moving towards economic projects,” Al-Junaid said.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the need to pay attention to the outputs of the workshop, on which the economic work plan for the next five years will be based within the second phase plan of the National Vision 2021-2025.
