Health staff in Shabwa Hospital calls on general strike

SHABWA, Sep. 21 (YPA) – Dozens of doctors and workers at the general hospital in Ataq city of Shabwa province announced on Monday a general strike to protest at working condition.

According to medical sources, the protesters suspended the work completely in the Islah militia-run hospital until paying their financial dues.

The sources indicated that the medical staff did not exclude emergency cases, rejecting all humanitarian cases.

The doctors’ strike in Shabwa hospitals came due to cutting off their salaries and a deteriorating health situation, especially in light of the spread of epidemics and diseases.
