Saudi authorities prevent detained preacher from attending his father’s funeral

SANAA, Sept. 19 (YPA) –  Saudi authorities on Saturday prevented the detained preacher, “Ibrahim Hayel Al-Yamani,” from attending the funeral of his father, according to human rights activists.
The “Prisoners of Conscience” account on “Twitter”, which is concerned with defending the rights of detainees in the Kingdom, said that the authorities prevented “Al-Yamani” from going out to attend the funeral of his father.

The account called on the Saudi authorities to release Al-Yamani for condolences, and to end the procedures for his full release immediately.
Al-Yamani obtained a doctorate in criminal legislation and a master’s degree in jurisprudence and he is a faculty member at Taibah University, a legal advisor at the same university, a member of the previous municipal elections appeals committee, a former mufti at the Prophet’s Mosque, and a former instructor at the University of Muhammad bin Saud.
