STC militias open fire on protesters in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 31 (YPA) – The UAE -backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias on Monday opened fire on a protest demonstration in the city of Aden, southern Yemen, sources said.

The sources affirmed that dozens of protesters organized a protest rally near the Water Corporation in al-Khasaf area in Crater district, against the background of water cut.

The residential neighborhoods in Crater district have suffered from water scarcity since the past months, without developing serious solutions to alleviate the suffering of citizens.

Earlier this month, the STC militias released the acting director of Water Corporation in Aden days after his abduction.
