Rock landslides kill 2 young men in Mahweet

MAHWEET, Aug. 15 (YPA) – Two young men from Mahweet province, northwest of the capital Sanaa, were killed on Friday morning due to a rockslide on populated areas in the province.

The two young men, Yahya al-Nusiri and Abduljalil al-Qutaibi, were sitting next to rocky hills in al-Ahjer district when large rocks collapsed on them, which caused their killing instantly, according to local sources.

Most of the mountainous areas in Yemen have witnessed rockslides due to the continuous heavy rains in the country, for the third week in a row.
