World Food Program sends 50,000 tons of flour to Lebanon

SANAA, Aug. 11 (YPA) – The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs announced on Tuesday, that the World Food Program will send 50,000 tons of wheat flour to Beirut to bolster national supplies.

A Reuters report revealed, last week, that the Lebanese government does not have a strategic stockpile of grain, and that the explosion that occurred last week in the Beirut port destroyed all the private stocks in the only grain silo in the country.
