Advisor to Hadi escapes assassination in Marib

MARIB, July 8 (YPA) – Abdulaziz Jabbari, advisor to the exiled Hadi, on Wednesday survived an assassination attempt in the city of Marib, southeast Yemen.

An improvised explosive device exploded near the hotel where Jubari was residing in the city, local sources said.

The sources explained that the explosive device exploded during the passage of his convoy, which resulted in the injuring of his personal escort.

A security force affiliated to Islah Party surrounded the area and combed the area surrounding the hotel, the sources added.

Local media websites revealed that Jubari had received Saudi threats, hours before the assassination attempt that targeted him, warning him against any activities that hinder the implementation of the recent Riyadh agreement.
