Agriculture Ministry provides 12 tons of improved cotton seeds to farmers

SANAA, July 1 (YPA) – Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation in the Salvation Government is preparing, in coordination with the General Establishment for Spinning and Weaving, to receive the cotton growing season, which begins in mid-July, by providing 12 tons of improved seeds to farmers.

This quantity of the cotton improved seeds will be distributed for free to farmers in the northern and southern areas of Tihama plain to grow 2,800 hectares.

It is noteworthy that the General Establishment for Spinning and Weaving had committed to purchase the product from farmers at the internationally approved price, in a way that guarantees the farmer a good promotional price.
