Agriculture Minister approves project to develop cotton cultivation

SANAA, June 28 (YPA) – Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Abdulmalik Al-Thawr approved on Sunday a plan to study a strategic project to improve and develop the cultivation and the cotton’s productivity in Yemen.

The move came during his meeting with the joint technical committee for cotton productivity.

During the meeting, the committee stressed on the importance of production cotton as a strategic step to provide raw materials for the textile factory, as well as the possibility of finding a mechanism to support farmers with cotton seeds.
