Unidentified gunmen assassinate soldier in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, June 27 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen assassinated a soldier at Sayoun Airport in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, Saturday morning

A local source said that Karama Abbad, one of the soldiers of the so-called “101st Air Police Brigade” and charged with security the airport, was killed on one of the city streets while was going to his work.

Abbad’s assassination is the second operation that targets the brigade’s soldiers, as a soldier from the same brigade was assassinated last year.

This operation comes days after the issuance of a directive by “Hadi’s government” to recruit 3,000 soldiers to reinforce their forces in Hadramout desert and valley.
