Huge fire breaks out in Sanaa

SANAA, Jan 23 (YPA) – Huge fire broke out on Monday evening in Suninah neighborhood of Sanaa province, General Director of Public Relations, Civil Defense Authority told Yemen Press Agency.

Ahmed al-Shirahi declared that the fire was the result of burning of a ground tank filled with petroleum in a citizen’s house called Naji al-Hakim.

The fire caused burning of eight homes in the neighborhood, including houses that were completely burned and some were partially damaged.

The fire did not result in any human casualties, except for the great material damage.

He also pointed out that four firefighting vehicles belonging to the Civil Defense Authority filled with 100 thousand liters of water and foam material participated in extinguishing the fire.
