Intense dispute within Hadi’s govt thwarts Riyadh Agreement

SHABWAH, Jan. 22 (YPA) – The joint committees of Hadi government suspended all work on the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement signed between Hadi’s government and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council in early November, informed sources reported on Wednesday

The sources confirmed that the committees of the government “Hadi” suspended all its work due to sever differences within its three components between the movement “Hadi” Islah Party and GPC party, which is fighting over its candidates for the formation of a new government in implementation of the Riyadh agreement.

The Islah militia refuses to withdraw from Shabwah province, under the agreement, without any condition.

Moreover, the sources explained that the Islah militia requires that its militias not be withdrawn from Shabwah, in exchange for the continuation of the committees.

Furthermore, they indicated that the leadership of the coalition has stopped the governor of “Hadi” in Shabwah, loyal to Islah Party following his refusal to withdraw the Islah militias, in an attempt to abort the “Riyadh Agreement”, and to block the success of the agreement in the interests of Qatari and Turkish.
