Protest rally demands to release detainees in prisons in Aden

ADEN, Dec. 14 (YPA) – The Association of Mothers of the Kidnapped in Aden city demanded in a protest rally on Saturday the release of detainees in prisons of Yemen’s southern city of Aden.

In a news statement, the association called for saving the lives of the detainees in Bair Ahmed prison due to their deteriorating health conditions as a result of the hunger strike.

It said affirmed that the abductees and detainees were subjected to torture, arbitrary and ill-treatment by the prison’s staff.

The association documented 38 cases of enforced disappearance and 56 others of arbitrary detentions within Bair Ahmed prison years ago.
