Meteorological Center warns of cold weather, strong winds, thunderstorms

SANAA, Dec. 8 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center revealed that the expected weather in Yemen during the next 24 hours will be cold weather in the mountainous highlands and strong winds with thunderstorms in the coasts.

In its weather forecast Sunday, the Center warned citizens at the mountainous hills, especially children and the elderly, of relatively cold weather at night and early morning.

The Center warned motorists on the mountainous slopes in the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Mahweet, Hajjah, and Rayma, of low visibility due to the formation of fog.

It also warned fishermen and seafarers in the territorial waters and Socotra Archipelago of strong winds, sea unrest and high waves.
