Al-Houthi reveals “what has been hidden of state revenues and employee salaries”

SANAA, Nov. 20 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohammad Ali Al-Houthi confronted Saudi-led coalition and the Hadi’s government with financial statements, confirming that “they are the main causes of suffering and pain to the Yemenis.”

The statements refuted the coalition and Hadi government  accusations about state revenues and salaries of state employees.

He Welcomed the formation of “any independent international commission to review the operations of the Central Bank before and after its transfer to Aden” and challenged the other party to accept it.

In 2014 and prior budgets, “approximately 8.5% of salaries and state expenditures were covered by 91.5% of oil and gas revenues, as well as  from local revenues, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said on Twitter.

“During the years of aggression, oil and gas were at the hand of  the US-Saudi-Emirati occupation and their mercenaries,” he added.

Mohammed al-Houti indicated that  “the amount of revenue lost due to the aggression was 12 trillion riyals. This was explained by the Leader of the Revolution on the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.”

He also pointed out that the aggression is occupying all areas around commercial imports from Hodeidah to the port of Aden.

“The aggression turned all commercial imports from Hodeidah to the port of Aden and any grants, loans and revenues to the branches of Aden or Marib handed over to the mercenaries branch of the Central Bank of Aden,” he explained.

“In addition to printing trillion and 700 billion riyals, which led to the rise of the dollar against the riyal as the dollar reached a maximum of 800 riyals What doubled the suffering of citizens, he said .

“A $ 2 billion deposit was taken according to their statement (the Consensus Government) ,” he said. “While we refused any loans, it was settled by them and they announced the start of liquidation of the credits.”

Al-Houthi confirmed that salary payments were approved in the Civil Service Statements for the year 2014 in order to alleviate the suffering of the employees. Despite all these revenues, they refused to hand over salaries.

He further explained that the Central Bank of Sanaa, during the management of the Revolutionary Committee, has disbursed salaries and necessary needs until the aggression transferred the central bank to Aden.

“After the transfer of the bank, the Supreme Political Council collected some local revenues, which are supposed to cover only 8.5% of salaries according to the 2014 budget, to pay half of the monthly salaries.

Since the central bank was transferred to Aden till now, about 14 halves have been paid, with an average of 35 billion riyals, more than the local percentage that was supposed to cover this aspect before the aggression. ”

“As an official for nearly 18 months, I welcome any independent international committee to review the operations of the Central Bank during this period till the bank was transferred to Aden and to announce the results,” he said.

He concluded:  “I defy the countries of aggression and their mercenaries to accept reviewing the operations after the transmission of the bank to Aden.”

Al-Houthi called on specialists to hold a seminar to clarify the facts in absolute terms to let the Yemeni people know the size of the fallacies on officials who face aggression and steadfast in their actions.
