Yemen, UNDP discuss projects to rehabilitate Hodeidah port

HODEIDAH, Nov. 14 (YPA) – Acting governor of Hodeidah Mohammed Qahim discussed on Thursday with a team of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) the activities and program being implemented in various sectors in the province.

During his meeting the UNDP team, Qahim pointed out these projects would be an impact in alleviating the suffering of citizens, and contribute to improve Hodeidah port.

The acting governor expressed the local authority’s readiness to overcome all difficulties and challenges that face the UNDP in the province.

He stressed the need to double UNDP activity and its role to defeat great challenges confronting the local authority and citizens in light of the siege and military escalation imposed by the Saudi-led aggression and its mercenaries.

For his part, the UNDP team affirmed that the UNDP would exert efforts to back development and strengthen the various partnership between the program and the local authority in the province.
