Doctors’ strike worsens health situation in Shabwa

SHABWA, Nov. 13 (YPA) – Staff of the Public Azzan Hospital in Shabwa province on Wednesday continued to strike, for the fifth day in a row, in protest of stopping their salaries for three months by Hadi’s government.

Sources in Mayfa’a district said the doctors’ strike caused the deterioration of the health situation in the district, especially after the private hospitals raised their charges due to the increasing demand for them.

This strike of doctors in Azzan Hospital is the second, after they had carried out a partial strike last week, without any heed from the concerned authorities to their demands.
